The collection reflects the personal and professional interests of Prof. Bohnert especially in the areas of library and information science, computer technology and information retrieval. Included is correspondence with and material on many pioneers and leading figures in these fields; lecture notes, syllabi, student papers and peer reports from Prof. Bohnert's academic appointments both at the University of Rhode Island and other institutions; material relating to her long membership and active role in the American Documentation Institute (ADI) later renamed the Society for Information Science (ASIS); drafts, outlines and notes for her published and unpublished works including a book entitled, Information Science for Librarians which was never published; personal correspondence; news clippings, pamphlets, brochures, patents and photographs. Correspondents include Gerald Jahoda, Calvin Mooers, Claire Schultz and Harold Wooster.
